Our speaker is Dr. Genesis Young, who along with his wife Sulara founded the Teran James Young Foundation. He'll present an overview of the peace and sustainability work of the Teran James Young Foundation. Their mission is to have peace and sustainability programs in our schools, community and world by promoting Restorative Practices, Nonviolent Communication and healthy environmental practices. Dr. Young will be focusing his talk on one of their main missions and projects in the world, an International Peace Day celebration and have that to become top of mind for folks, just like Earth Day or bigger. They're working to have peace on Earth during that day locally and ultimately globally. One of Rotary's 7 Areas of Focus is Peace and Conflict Resolution and Dr. Young aims to work together with the Rotary Clubs of Maui towards the same goal. |

Our speaker this week is Deborah Linden, Chief Operating Officer, Rotary Zones 26 & 27
Rotary members know about their club and how it operates, and many know about their District and about Rotary International. But how many know about the function and structure of the Rotary Zone? What does a Zone do? How many are there? What is it for? This presentation will answer all these questions and more, including providing resources your Zones (Zones 26 & 27) have available to assist clubs and members. We will also explore pilot projects happening in two Zones that may change the very way Rotary is structured in some areas in the world. |

Please join us as we welcome Past District Governor Sandy Matsui as she talks to us about the Empowering Girls Initiative. She'll be sharing her profound insights and the impactful journey of the Rotary's Empowering Girls Initiative. Launched during Shekhar Mehta's tenure as the 2021-22 Rotary International President, this initiative places a keen focus on improving futures for girls worldwide—recognizing the disproportionate challenges they face in education, health, and economic empowerment. As always, we'll be serving fresh coffee and breakfast items from Rodeo General. |
